Abstract:
The aim of the work was to develop compositions and study their bactericidal and disinfection capacity using various test surfaces both smooth and rough ones and to determine modes and concentrations for laboratory use. The main active agent in both compositions is tetrametilendietilen tetramine and alkyldimethylbenzylammonium chloride. To enhance the antibacterial activity tartaric acid was added into the first composition and sulfosalicylic acid was added into the second one. A comparative study showed that solutions of the first composition decontaminated E. coli bacteria at 30 minutes at dilution of 1: 376.5, and at 24 hours at a dilution of 1: 2834.7. For the solutions the second composition the parameters were 1: 192.8 and 1: 1466.3 accordingly. Regarding S. aureus, the solutions of these compositions decontaminated the test surfaces accordingly: for the first composition the dilution was 1: 1 and 192.8: 2024.8, and for the second composition - 1: 1 and 137.2: 1466.3 accordingly. A comparative study of disinfection activity of the first and second compositions on test surfaces showed that the both compositions disinfected E. coli with protein protection on smooth surfaces at 0.5% concentration and on rough surfaces at concentration of 2.0% at exposure time of 1 and 3 hours accordingly at the dosage rate of 0.25-0.3 l/m2. At the same time the disinfection rate of Staphylococcus aureus was at concentration of 1.0% for smooth surfaces and 2.0% concentration for rough surfaces with exposure time of 1 and 3 hours accordingly and exposure dosage rate of 0.5 l/m2.

Abstract:
Glanders is a particularly dangerous infectious affecting the solid-hoofed animals and human. The infection proceeds in chronic form, therefore timely and accurate identification of the infection source and microorganism species is a crucial issue in Animal Health and Medicine. In this regard, the development of novel reliable detection means and methods are required. Most of the available diagnostic means are based on glanders agent 5584 strain deposited in the National collection of particularly dangerous pathogens. Our work provides the analysis of glanders epizootic situation in different parts of the world and using best practices and measures to prevent its introduction, spread, and in case of the infection emergence its diagnosis and elimination in Russia. The data from the International Epizootic Bureau and our research data of cases of suspicion for glanders and examination of pathologic material send from the infected loci were used as material for review. The major places of glanders spread are the regions of South-East Asia and the Pacific Ocean. The scheduled routine examinations sometimes reveal false positive responses at serological and skin tests. This can be explained by the fact that the glanders causative agent has common antigens with many species of Burkholderia genus and other microbial species.

Abstract:
Of many factors favorable for emergence of gastrointestinal diseases in newborn calves, polyetiological features of the diseases and low immune response of newborn calves play an important role. Therefore, a complex effect of pathogenetic and immune-correcting therapy on a body is very crucial. A method of an associated use of both antibacterial drugs and immunofan immunocorrecting drug to treat and prevent newborn calve gastrointestinal diseases was studied. The studies were carried out on farms in the Dagestan Republic. For the experiments the calves under 30-days old were used. Clinical examination was carried out according to the routine schemes and the calves with diarrhea syndrome were selected for the experiments. Antibacterial with a complex of antibacterial, antitoxic and rehydration agents was used orally as a therapeutic drug. Along with the antibacterial drug immunofan immunomodulatory drug was injected intramuscularly according to the provided instructions. The treatment effect was evaluated according to the duration of treatment, the number the recovered and survived calves. Using the proposed drug reduced the animal death rate and recovery periods comparing to the control group: the calves from the experimental group the survival rate was higher for 4.6% and the treatment time reduced for 26.6% compared to the control animals. The studies showed better prophylactic efficacy of the developed method which was higher for 7.5% in comparison with the controls. The proposed method ensured a milder form of the disease and 100% survival rate in the experimental calves. The efficiency of the associated use of both immunofan and antibacterial drug to prevent and treat gastrointestinal diseases in newborn calves was prooved.

Abstract:
The application of Pepidol the pectin-based drug of herbal origin is a promising means for prevention of avian intestinal infections. The aim of the research was to study in-vivo the effect of Pepidol drug (LLC “ELUSAN” scientific and production center) on bowel microbiocenosis in broiler chickens and perspectives of its further application to prevent intestinal infections. In this regard, the control and six experimental groups with 20 chickens in each group were formed.  A day-old broiler “Ross – 308” cross chickens were selected basing on the analogue method. At the age of 1-3, 14-16, 26-28- days old the control chicken were introduced Polodoxin a large scale antibiotic at a dose of 1ml per liter of water. At the same age the chicken from the groups 1, 2, 3 received 0.5, 1 and 2% Pepidol drug solutions. The chicken from the groups 4, 5, 6 were introduced the drug at the similar concentration at the age of 1-5, 24-28- days old. For the chicken at the age of under 14-days old Pepidol dosage was 2ml per a bird, and for the chicken older than 15 days – 4 ml per a bird. The intestinal content of broiler chickens was sampled at the age of 28- and 42- days old, bacteriological tests were carried out according to the conventional guidelines. The application of Pepidol drug on broiler chicken showed a lower number of enterobacterium, enterococci and staphylococci accordingly for 0.9-2.1; 0.5-0.9 and 1.0-1.3 1g KOE/g, and no hemolytic bacterium were found in the experimental groups, lacto- and bifidobacterium number increased for 0.2-0.7 and 1.8-3.3 1g KOE/g, indicating  that the drug inhibitory effect on pathogenic and conditionally pathogenic microorganisms and stimulation of useful intestinal microflora. This trend maintained after the drug was cancelled that indicates the prolonged action of Pepidol drug. Therefore, Pepidol drug has a positive effect on ehnterobiotcenos and is a promising means to prevent avian intestinal infections.

Abstract:
Infectious diseases, such as brucellosis, are one of the factors restraining the development of livestock farming. The aim of this study was to compare the efficiency of the official anti-brucellosis special measures and our novel system of special measures at “Jubileyny” cattle farm in Volzhsky region, Samara. For this purpose, 4-5- months old heifers were immunized with B. abortus 82 strain vaccine.  At 10 months before or 2-3 months prior to insemination the animals were revaccinated with the same vaccine. During the following 3 years the cows were annually revaccinated with alive antigen from inagglutinated B. abortus R-1096 strain. The field studies of our novel system showed positive results. The results of serological tests for brucellosis and survey of post-vaccination immune response in cows immunized with the alive dry antigen of the R-1096 strain showed that all the tested animals were brucellosis-negative at agglutination test and CFT (compliment fixation test) with the single brucellosis antigen. At CFT with R-antigen the immune response was 99.26 %. The average titer was 41.0±15.5. The laboratory and field studies showed high preventive and anti-epizootic efficacy of the alive dry antigen from inagglutinated B.abortus R-1096 strain on the background of using the vaccine from B.abortus 82 strain for prevention and elimination of brucellosis in cattle herds. It allows maintaining the cattle farms as brucellosis-negative without postvaccine seropositivity in cows.

Abstract:
The report discusses the problem of lumpy skin disease (LSD) in cattle caused by a virus Neethling belonging to Capripoxvirus genus, Poxviridae family. Herewith, a general characteristic of both the disease and its causative agent are given, and the epizootic situation for LSD both worldwide and in the Russian Federation is analyzed, and some data in terms of the features of the infection epizootology, symptoms, diagnosis, and also its prevention strategy and control measures are submitted. Lumpy skin disease had been extensively reported for a long time only on the African continent (in 19 countries). During the recent years, the disease has spread beyond Africa and appeared in many regions of the world, mainly in the Middle East countries. Based on the OIE data, LSD outbreaks were observed in Syria, Turkey, Lebanon, Israel, Jordan, Iraq, Iran, Kuwait, Palestine, Bahrain, the Sultanate of Oman, Greece, Macedonia, and other countries. In Azerbaijan, the disease was reported in 4 regions of the country, namely in Agdash, Bilasuvar, Jalilabad, and Ujar (16 outbreaks). According to the media sources, LSD was observed in 12 regions of Azerbaijan in 2014, namely in Bilasuvar, Ujar, Jalilabad, Masalli, Lankaran, Barda, Samukh, Lachin, Zardab, Agjabadin, Sabirabad, and Agdash regions. During the period from July to October, 2015, as many as 17 LSD foci were registered in the Russian Federation, specifically in the Republic of Dagestan, the Chechen Republic and the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania. Up to date, no remedies for LSD specific prevention or treatment procedures have been developed yet. In broad terms, the pox vaccine that was applied in some cases abroad would not solve the problem of LSD large-scale prevention. A group of SSI NRIVVaMR researchers recommended a viral vaccine developed from a sheep pox virus strain B-5/96 for immunization of cattle herds in the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania. Thus, now it is an urgent task to develop vaccines from safe attenuated LSD virus strains. Taking proper veterinary and sanitary measures in conjunction with carrying out the disease specific prevention campaigns and slaughter of the affected herds constitute a fundamental strategy that would provide obtaining good results in LSD control.

Abstract:

In the poultry industry, including goose breeding, using biologically active substances – vitamin-chlorophyll and probiotic feeding additives – gained a high interest during the recent years. The additives have an antagonistic activity against opportunistic pathogenic intestinal microflora, increase overall body resistance and promote gosling growth, development and survivability. The aim of the research was to determine the effect of using "Larikarvit" vitamin-carotene feeding additive and "Bacell" probiotic supplement to increase geese eggs yield and improve gosling hatchability, survivability, and performance in goose breeding farms. The objects of study were "Linda" breed geese, goose eggs and 1-3-days old goslings. The control and experimental groups of goslings and geese were formed from the same parental flock on principle of analogues. Each group contained 25 geese, 120 goslings. Also, in each group there were 960 eggs for further incubation. Larikarvit was used as feeding additive and "Bacell" was used as probiotic feeding supplement. The experimental studies showed that the introduction of "Larikarvit" vitamin - carotene feeding additive and "Bacell" probiotic feeding supplement into the diet of the first experimental group promoted the increase of goose egg yield during the spring months (March, April, May), gosling hatchability and performance. Using these feeding additives resulted in slightly higher parameters of red blood cells, hemoglobin level and total protein in blood serum. The experimental studies showed that using Larikarvit and Bacell feeding additives resulted in higher eggs yield for 9.07% and 11.06%than average, gosling hatchability - for 4.35% and 5.09%, survival rate - for 3.08% and 4.38%, and the average daily weight gain of goslings - for 8.33% and 8.81%.

Abstract:
The article provides quantitative and qualitative analyses of meat composition regarding the polymorphic state of somatropin, thyroglobulin, leptin (LEP), growth hormone genes-hormones in bulls of Limousin breed. The study was carried out in the leading farms of the Republic of Tatarstan, engaged in meat cattle breeding. The conditions of feeding and housing of the experimental herds were the same in the household, and were characterized by optimal value that ensured the expression of the genetic potential of animals. The control slaughter was carried out in LLC "Kamsky bekon", the largest slaughter facility in Tatarstan. The studies showed that themost frequent occurrence is characterized by somatropingene-hormone (GH), therefore, the further studies were focused on this gene. The results of the control slaughter showedthat bulls with the LL genotype were characterized by higher slaughter yield, i.e. 53.9 per cent. This parameter is higher in animals with the LL genotype than in the animals with the LV and VV genotypes for 1.4% and 1.3% accordingly. The bulls with the LL genotype had higher values on bone-free meat yield for 0.8-1.2 %than their counterparts. In this case, the accumulation of fat in the longest muscle of the back and its water-holding capacity superiority was respectively 0.9 to 1.5% and 1.5 to 2.5. The parameters such as the content of the nutmeat, the bone, in the carcass fat, crude protein, dry matter, pH, moisture content, energy value and cookery-technological characteristics of boneless meat were also evaluated. According to results of this study the recommendations were made to the farms to improve production efficiency of high quality beef using the technology of DNA diagnostics.

Abstract:
The parameters of toxicity and efficacy of Unitabs paste the vitamin and mineral food additive are determined. The justification of the diet additive is provided. Acute and chronic oral toxicity of each food additive was studied using outbred male rats that were kept in the same conditions and received the same ration. The diet additive tolerability was studied on the 15 clinically healthy mongrel cats of1-3-years old and 15 clinically healthy mongrel kittens of 6-7.5-months old. Clinical trials were held on the basis of veterinary clinics in Moscow and the Moscow region using cats of different breeds and ages. The acute oral toxicity was determined oral administration of the additives at doses of 4500; 5000; 5500 and 6000 µ/kg, and neither intoxication nor lethal cases were registered during 14 days of observation. According to the results, the additives can be referred to the 4 class of danger according to the general hygienic classification. The study of chronic toxicity of diet additives on rats showed that the daily use of additives at three- and five-fold of therapeutic doses during 6 months had no negative effect on animal general condition, behavior, ration and water intake, as well as blood morphological and biochemical parameters. During the study of cat food additive the clinical examination of cats showed that application of the additive during a month improved the animals general state, increased their activity and appetite. No side effects and complications were registered during the observation period. The Unitabs paste can be applied as a novel method of optimizing cat feeding.

Abstract:
The article presents experimental study of using «Stimul+» mineral additive, «Rumistart» synbiotic additive and full-fat soy to improve milk and beef production from cattle of black and white breed in the Republic of Tatarstan. Laboratory researches showed that according to the State standard 12.1.007.76 on degree of danger «Stimul+» macromineral additive belongs to the fourth class of chemicals, according to classification – to low-toxic compounds. The first field experiment showed that an associated use of «Stimul+» macromineral additive and «Rumistart» symbiotic as a part of diet dairy cows feeding promoted an increase of dairy production.  An average daily yield of milk in cows from the experimental groups was higher for 10.6-14.5% (Ð≤0,05) and was 28.66 kg (II-O) and 29.67 kg (III-O) accordingly while it was  25.91 kg in the control group. Moreover, the milk from the experimental cows had better technological properties for cream and butter production. Because of higher fat and protein content and their better extraction properties for production of 1kg of cream and butter the milk load is lower. Using the fodder additives also resulted in higher profitability of dairy production for 3.5 % and 4.9% and was 28.1 (II-O) and 29.5% (III-O) accordingly than in the controls that was 24.6%. The second and third research field experiments showed that adding «Stimul+» macromineral additive and full-fat soy into cattle diet promoted an increase calves weight gain as well as higher values in qualitative and quantitative parameters of meat production. That is the average daily gain of bull-calves in control group was 836.7 g while in II and III experimental groups it was 905.0 g and 946.1 g that is higher for 8.2 % and 13.1% accordingly. The results of the control slaughter showed that the bulls from the III group had the heaviest weight, it was significantly higher than in the controls for 10.2%, the second group bulls were heavier for 7.9% than the controls (P <0,05). Beef production was profitable in all the groups, this parameter was 12.7% in the I control group, 15.4% - in the II experiment group,  and 18.6% - in the III experiment group.

Abstract:
Determining the effect of rye and rape extrudate on biochemical parameters of piglet during the periods of growth and development was the aim of the research. The studies involved four groups of postweaned piglets: the first control group received the balanced single crop diet from barley (79.6%) and a protein- vitamin and mineral additive (20.4%) from the general nutritive value of the diet. The experimental groups received the diet a part of barley share and a protein- vitamin and mineral additivewas partly substituted by rye and rape extrudate 15.0%; 29.9% and 43.1%in groups accordingly. During the experimental period the animals of the second group had the highest level of total protein, i.e. higher for 7.22% than in the controls (ð<0.05). Comparing to the initial values the animals from the second and the third groups showed a significant increase of albumin fraction of protein by the end of the experiment(for 2.1 and 2.7 g/l accordingly) (ð0.05). The experiments showed that an increase of rye and rape extrudate share in diets yielded a lower glucose level 11.11; 7.4; 7.69 and 25% accordingly. The third and fourth groups had the maximum level of cholesterol (higher than in the control for 0. 61 and 0.84 mmol/l accordingly) (ð0.05). The piglets receiving rye and rape extrudate for 15% had a higher ACT enzyme reamination activity. Basing on the analysis of blood biochemical parameters and evaluation of protein, lipid, carbohydrate levels and mineral exchange no negative affect of rye and rape extrudate on body metabolism was detected.
