Address: Federal Center for Toxicological, Radiation and Biological Safety, Kazan.

Abstract: Currently, more than 40 thousand synthetic and natural compounds are known to be dangerous for animal and human. Most of these compounds may have real threat not only individually but in certain associations too.
The study of associated exposure of toxicants of different groups on ultrathin level is reasonable. On one hand it will allow research the suggested effect of such exposure on the other, to use findings and developed data in case such toxication really occurs.
The aim of our research was the study of the way dioxin and T-2 toxin affect swine cardiomyocytes ultrastructure individually, in associated manner and along with zeolite and dimephosphone. The experiments involved 8 groups of Yorkshire piglets. In chronic oral challenge we used dioxin in dosages of LD50 1/400, 1/600, 1/800 and T-2 toxin in 2-fold MAC (maximum allowable concentration) level during 45 days. One group of animals was additionally introduced 15-% solution of dimephosphone (immunomodulator and stabilizer of cellular membrane) and zeolite absorbent in 2% per diet ratio.
The investigation results showed that the most serious structural and functional alterations took place at associated exposure of dioxin and t-2 toxin (dioxin LD50 1/400 and T-2 toxin in 2-fold MAC): cytoplasm clarification with loosely placed fibrilla, formation of electronically transparent cavity around the nucleus (ribosome-free cytoplasm), mitochondria mostly have clarified matrix, absence of calcium deposits.
Zeolite and dimephosphone in the proposed dosages had an expressed therapeutic effect as treatment means on cellular level.

Abstract: Basing on processes and substances alien to biosphere is a drawback ofthemostcurrenttechnologies. Some of the toxicants are known as dangerous mutagens and oncogens. It is also known that their affect often strengthens at associated exposure on biological entities. In this regard investigation of the way associated introduction of dioxin and T-2 toxin influences on mammal organism on ultrathin level is of high scientific interest.
The aim of our investigations was the study of associated effect of dioxin and T-2toxin as contaminants of different groups on swine hepatocytic ultrastructure separately, in associated way, and along with using zeolite and dimephosphone.
For this purpose the piglets of Yorkshire breed were divided into 8 groups. For chronic oral challenge dioxin was used in dosage of LD50 1/400, 1/600, 1/800 and T-2 toxin was 2-fold MAC (maximum allowable concentration) level during 45 days. One group of animals was additionally introduced 15-% solution of dimephosphone (immunomodulator and stabilizer of cellular membrane) and zeolite absorbent in 2% per diet ratio.
The investigation results showed that associated exposure of ecotoxicants cause considerable alteration of hepatocytes ultrastructure.

Authors: Violin B.V.; Gulyaeva A.Y.; Muravyeva V.B.

Address: FSFI «The All-Russian State Center of Quality and Standardization of Veterinary Drugs and Feed», Moscow.

Abstract: In the article we can see analysis of  using disk diffusion method and serial dilution method to assess the sensitivity of microorganisms to antibiotics. Conducting disk diffusion method requires strict compliance with the conditions of testing, correct and consistent procedures of quality control materials.
The disadvantage of this method is: no special standard disk to modern veterinary medicines: tylosin, tiamulin, ceftiofur, florfenicol, tulathromycin, enrofloxacin, norfloxacin, kitasomitsin; inability to use the disk diffusion method for determining the susceptibility of microorganisms to combine medicines. This method makes it possible to determine only the qualitative characteristics and to determine the minimum inhibitory concentrations of antibacterial agents. Also it is impossible to study the sensitivity of important pathogens as Mycoplasma spp., Chlamidya spp., Brachyspia hyodysenteriae, Fusobacterium spp., Bacteroides spp., Lawsonia intracellularis on the medium used in this method.   Serial dilution method is more reliable and accurate quantitative method, the results of which are much less dependent on conditions and materials that were used.
Also, this method allows us to investigate any materia in any combination and ratio that plays an important role in value effectiveness  of combine medicines, or the study of synergistic and antagonistic properties of different compounds.
A comprehensive value of the methods considered to be very important for clinicians because it allows to select the best of the two methods for determining the susceptibility of microorganisms to antimicrobial agents depending on the clinical situation and aim of the study.

Abstract: Atherosclerosis, which is a pathogenetic substrate for many cardiovascular diseases, is the result of a complex interaction between the blood cholesterol and the cellular components of blood vessel walls. High blood cholesterol, male gender, age, diabetes, hypertension, smoking and poor diet are the risk factors that cause progression of atherosclerotic diseases and theirs complications, such as coronary heart disease, stroke, and myocardial infarction. Prevention and treatment of atherosclerotic diseases are usually based on trying to reduce the risk factors for atherosclerosis. Prophylaxis and therapy aimed to cure the risk factors, remains the main form of treatment this disease. Nowadays, there are many studies concerned about discovering a new nutritional factors of the atherosclerosis. The use of drugs of highly purified omega-3 fatty acids in combination with a "Mediterranean" diet could be an effective way to treat and prevent the atherosclerosis diseases, as well as any cardiovascular others.
