Address: | The State Research Institution National Research Institute for Veterinary Virology and Microbiology of Russia (SRI NRIVVaMR), Pokrov, Russia |
Abstract: | High immunogenicity levels for a viral vaccine against classical swine fever prepared from a strain “LK-VNIIVViM” grown in a continuous cell line PK-15 were shown. The above cell line is highly sensitive, allows long-term passaging & storage, is remarkable for good manufacturability & cost effectiveness at the CSFV vaccine production, and can be applied for CSF virus titration. Using the cell culture PK-15 eliminates the requirement for animal slaughter to obtain testicular tissue and/or lamb sera. |
