USE OF A METHOD FOR ASSESSMENT OF BIOSECURITY OF PIG FARMS IN THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION

Authors: Bardina N.S.; Shevtsov A.A.

Address: Federal Centre for Animal Health (FGI«ARRIAH»).

Abstract:

African swine fever is one of the most important and serious diseases of domestic pigs. Unlike most diseases of livestock, there is no vaccine against ASF, and therefore prophylaxis relies entirely upon preventing contacts between the virus and susceptible hosts. It is possible to prevent infection by implementing strict measures of biosecurity.
The results of the assessment of biosecurity on one of the pig farms of the Russian Federation are presented.

Authors: Belookov A.A.

Address: Òhe Ural State Academy of Veterinary Medicine.

Abstract: Industrial receptions of conducting animal industries far not full consider features of an organism of an animal. In this connection have been created so-called EM - preparations, i.e. the preparations representing a set of microorganisms, and where were brought EM – preparations they have positive an effect.
Effective microorganisms destroy putrefactive and other nocuous microflora therefore digestion is normalized that promotes penetration into blood of vital substances. And as consequence of application EM - preparations in feeding young growth of large horned livestock increases efficiency and quality of production improves.
